Alchera All Pretty in Pink ~ Jessie...

The "conformation gods" had the last laugh at our expense with this girl!!

She was a lovely puppy - nice head, lots of bone, nicely put together and a great mover all wrapped up in the kind of merle that we favour with a nice flashy white collar...

All that and a nose that was pink except for a couple of tiny liver spots!

We watched that nose, prayed over it and made suitable offerings to the "conformation gods" - all to no avail.  Pink it was and pink it still is as she turned 6 months old.

So my promising merle girl was destined for a life as a companion dog and not a show girl - but what a wonderful life she has with her new family!

Claiming HER toy @ 7 weeks!

Helen and Gary came for a visit just before Christmas and met Jessie, who was just 5 weeks old at the time.

Helen called the next day to say that she thought Jessie was the girl for her!

At the end of January just after they moved into their new country home in Flamborough Jessie joined her new family.

8 weeks old and practicing to be a show dog with Monica...

She's now living the good life with Helen and Gary.

She's part of the family - her people love her, she has lots of room to run and explore and even has some equine friends next door.

Helen has a "Velcro dog" in Jessie.  And Jessie has a "Mom" who dotes on her (and is great about sending "pupdates")!

I couldn't imagine a better home for her...

Looking good at almost 6 months old... And her nose is still pink...
