Our Beginning...
In the 60's and 70's we bred German Shorhair Pointers under the
Cedarpark prefix.
We produced All Breed and Specialty Best in Show
winners, many champions, and a number of dogs which were the foundation for other successful breeders
of the day, both here and in the U.S.
Our dogs did some great winning in the U.S. as well
as here in Canada, where we set some records that stood for over 20
years!

Career decisions and lifestyle changes (you can't raise Sporting Dogs
in an urban apartment) saw us leave the dog scene for a good number of
years.
But we're back now ~ and we're looking forward to having the same success with the
New Beginning ~ the Alchera Aussies!
We bring all the knowledge gained in those very successful
"Shorthair" years to our involvement with Australian Shepherds,
and we have the same dedication to perfection and commitment to
excellence as we embark on this exciting journey with our new
breed - those awesome Aussies!
